Kistin walked down the main street of Hogsmeade, his black boots with red laces thudding along the ground with every step. His pale complexion stood him out from the rest of the "normal" looking people, and the red full-length coat, that was unbuttoned that he was wearing, made him look even more white than normal. His white shirt, ironed that morning, had the top three buttons undone, showing more of his pale flesh. He was white as snow, and his whole manner was that of a strutting peacock. No, seriously, he was walking around as if he was just as good as the purebloods around him. He got a few odd looks, and he ignored them - after playing practical jokes for almost 100 years, you learn how to make it look like you couldn't care less, and in the end, he couldn't care less. Those snobs looked down at him because of what he was, but in the end, he looked down at them for not being like him.
Looking up, the sky was dark, and murky - perfect for him. It wasn't often he made a habit of daywalking, and he preferred the quietness of the evening to the bustle of the day, anyhow. Nodding to a few people he recognised, and staying out of anywhere Evander was likely to be, (after his jokefest the other day, he figured he ought to keep himself to himself - for a day or two at least) he had got to the bottom of the village and spotted a cave.
He walked slowly up to the cave, slowly and calmy, though he wasn't completely settled - after all, it was unusual for people like him to be out during the day - sunlight risks and all that. The cave was larger than he had thought, and it looked as if someone had visited it a couple of days beforehand, but as far as he was concerned, they weren't there now, and that was all that mattered. He sat back against the back wall. Well, he thought, he could stay there for a little while - maybe even nap for a time, and then get back to the manor as night fell.
Pulling his coat out from underneath him, he suddenly spotted a figure to one side of the entrance. Not moving, he looked at the figure - trying to see if he could make out who it was, or what it was, more like; and sat silently. He wondered if they would come in or not. If they did, he was a shop assistant so if it was human, he'd be how he usually was at work - if it was something more sinister, well...they shouldn't pick a fight on a Vampire, that's all he'd say.

Ella Smithhold on to me love you know i can't stay longElla had had to make the trip again into Hogsmeade, she had been so caught up in everything else, that she had forgot to check if she needed anything. Which she did. So once again she had braved going back into the village. She was not held up this time, but this time she had no time to meet someone. Stupid Slytherins, oh well she wasn't going to complain about not getting a beating. She had been quick buying her things, ignoring the stares of others and the occasional mutterings which she knew they knew she could hear. Oh well she was so used to it. She was about to head out to the Village when the ink she had just bought flew out and collided with the book in her other hand, she cursed under her breath and look up to some laughing Slytherins. She groaned, and then saw over their shoulders more. She picked up her things, whipping out her wand to quickly to clear the excess ink but leaving her clothes and book covered in ink. She turned on her heal and walked away back into Hogsmeade. She looked up and saw the rocks where she knew there was a cave.
Ella suddenly decided she would go there, clean herself up, see if she could save her book, she probably could it was not the first time something like this had happened. She started walking fast; she knew if those Slytherins were bored she would become the entertainment. She walked swiftly out the other end of Hogsmeade; the hill to get up there was nothing. She slowed as she reached the top and found the cave but then stopped. She was right by the entrance. A man in a red cloak with pale skin. She froze, unsure of what to do. She was covered in ink, and she needed to sort herself in. She looked back, she couldn't go back she could see the Slytherins in the square terrorising someone else. Pity welled in her for that person but she looked back ahead. The person had noticed her. She took a chance, risking it; her luck was not normally the best. She moved into the cave moving closer, she put her focused look onto herself not displaying the slight apprehension of what might happen is this person was a blood snob. She smiled weakly at the man, taking in his physical appearance with her hazel eyes. Her skin was pale; however his skin made hers look like it had colour, if very little. " Erm...Hi" she spoke rather awkwardly, her light Irish lilt soft in her voice, she was trying to find out whether running should be a wiser idea then stepping in closer. Her coat was still splattered with ink and the book too. She sighed then pulled out her wand concentrated one hr coat and flicked at her coat, the ink vanished. She looked back up at him. Her eyes drifting to his unbuttoned shirt, she blushed, the heat and blood running to her cheeks. Since when did she blush? She looked away from him embarrassed somewhat at her reaction. She ran her hand through the loose strands of hair that fell either side of her face. The rest tied back loosely behind her.

As the young woman walked tentatively in, he saw that she was actually very pretty, depite the ink stains down her clothing. As she smiled, albeit tentatively, he smiled back at her, welcomingly. Her voice when she spoke, was light and soft, and had a lovely, gently Irish hint to it. He stood slowly and gently, not wishing to frighten her. "Hello." He said. His voice was soft and velvety - but had a hint of warmth to it. He did not set out to frighten her, that was not his aim. "I'm sorry, I thought this place wasn't used - I didn't realise you were going to come up. My apologies, miss." He was doing what he would have done had he been working. After all, she looked as worried as seemed possible.
He was going to offer to help tidy her clothing up, as the ink seemed to have gone all over her, but she seemed to have it all in hand; though he did note the sudden change in the colour of her cheeks as she looked at his appearance. Hmmm - this could be interesting, he thought.
"May I enquire as to what happened to your outfit, miss? Or would you rather I didn't?" He moved slightly closer to her. He felt he would end up shouting to be heard from where he had been standing. Her hair was quite pretty, too, and the way she ran her hand through it made her look almost endearing. He held out a hand to her. "I'm Kistin Cross. And may I ask what your name is, my fine young woman?"
Yeah, he was a flirt, but he actually wanted to know more about her outfit - why had it got ink all over it? What had happened?

Ella Smithhold on to me love you know i can't stay longAs he replied she nodded, well he wasn't sneering or treating her like dirt, yet. For all she knew this was an act, it wouldn't be the first time someone had pretended to be kind and betrayed her trust. She had soon learned not to take everything likely. She eyed him, still apprehensive as he spoke, she shrugged slightly " It’s okay, no worries" She looked down at the ground, then she eyed her ink splattered book, she pointed her wand at it and again the ink this time somewhat more slowly vanished, fading away leaving the ink that was printed on there before still in place. The ease in which she performed these spells would tend to suggest she did them often.
However as he inquired as to the ink she looked up again, raising one eye brow, then replied, noticing the fact he was getting closer " Erm It was just some of the boys from the school, it doesn't matter" She would have to buy some more ink on her way back, she internally cursing them, she did not have much money and the ink here was more expensive than that in Diagon alley. As he got closer she took in more of his features, she looked at his eyes, crystalline ice blue, she wondered how someone could have such bright vibrant eyes, and felt a sudden urge for her own eyes to be more the dull hazel she knew they were. Her eyes fell to his hand as he held it out. She automatically gave hers to him and shook it, manners coming to her instinctively. She heard his introduction and smiled weakly at him " I am Ella Smith" She then felt again the burning n her cheeks as she was held under his gaze. Why the hell was she blushing? She sighed then spoke lightly trying to make conversation, but why she had no idea, she swore her body was not listening to her usual moves of get out of being in an isolated place with man you don't know. No her body was not nor her mind for that matter were listening to that normal rule. " Any particular reason for being here? Out of interest?" She asked lightly she did tend to ask a lot of questions, she was surprised with herself, he was finely dressed, she eyed the red cloak, if he was finely dressed that tended to suggest pureblood which on the whole meant as soon as he found out, which she would have assumed obvious by her clothing that was slightly too small for her would given her away she was at least impure. That was what the world was now.

He looked at her with interest as she got rid of the ink with ease. "You're a dab hand at cleaning charms, aren't you?" He said, impressed. "Not many people I know can do those spells without looking them up from their books." He heard her reply to his question and nodded. "Hmm. Slytherins, I presume? They seem to be the house that tends to do things like that nowadays." He seemed to have a memory beyond his years, and he looked at her again. "But they don't generally do it to...one group of people..." He trailed off and looked at her more fully. The only group of people to be treated well were purebloods, so it stood to reason that she must either be, like him, a "halfbreed", halfblood or a muggleborn. Still, he got on with those like him - the outcasts. She didn't seem to be a vampire, like him, and she looked too "normal" to be any other kind of halfbreed. The only other chances were that she was a halfblood or muggleborn. If she was a halfblood - he could probably get away with talking to her - after all, Evander had a halfblood girlfriend, pretty much. But if she was muggleborn, there would be questions - especially since everywhere he and his brother went, they had declared themselves friends to Voldemort's cause...
He looked at her more fully and smiled gently. "You're not pureblooded, are you? That's the reason they went after you, isn't it?" He deducted, nodding gently. He saw her look at his eyes and inwardly grinned. Everyone seemed to get lost in them. However, they generally betrayed any emotion he had, which was the down side. As she shook his hand, and gave him her name, he nodded courteously to her. "Pleasure to meet you, Miss Smith." Her next question was met with slight surprise. "Well...I came in here to stay out of the sun." He grinned, his fangs just visible - protruding from beneath his thin lips. "I'm not a fan of sunlight. I burn easily due to my fair skin." He gestured to his face. She seemed to be constantly blushing. He knew he could make girls blush - but not this easily, usually. "Anyway, my dear lady, I assume you've been up here before - considering you seemed to know the way. May I ask how?"
He pulled on his red jacket gently, to smooth out a few creases and then noticed the difference in her clothing to his. His looked...elegant, and relatively new. Hers, however, looked too small for her and not the newest in the world, it just ascertained his thoughts. She was definitely not a pureblood.

Ella Smithhold on to me love you know i can't stay longShe sighed and straightened, but then listened as he spoke about her cleaning Charms she shrugged " Broken noses are my other speciality" she spoke with a slight tone of amusement as though it were a private joke. She smirked for a split second then wiped it off her face. She merely nodded at her words about the Slytherins, not bothering to say it aloud. Of course it was them; they were the only ones who could get away with it. However his next words seem more aimed at him then her. She frowned and then watched as he seemed to be thinking. She was waiting for it, waiting for him to realise that she was not pureblood, and then she was sure the lovely compliments would stop and his manners would turn into pain on her part. She was waiting for his lovely ice blue eyes to turn sour with disgust like every other pureblood did. As he then spoke, it was more statement then question but she still confirmed it with her own voice turning rather stiff, she was waiting for the change and the probable pain it was going to bring to her. " Correct" she then threw caution to the wind, she was however nearest to the exit " Muggleborn" this was his test, she knew if he was going to turn he would do it then or in a minute. She just so use to this prejudice.
As he spoke of the sun thought, she immediately thought of Vampires, growing up as a muggle she had many ideas of Vampires, most with a dislike for the sun. She then got the shook of her life but she concealed it well. His teeth, she could have sworn he had a pair of fangs. She frowned so as he asked about how she knew of the cave she was watching his mouth. Those were definitely fangs. She nearly completely forgot about his question she looked up quickly, forming an answer inside her head quickly " Uhh A friend showed me it, we needed some privacy so we came up here" It was the truth.
Ella leaned in closer ignoring an normal instinct to back away from the unknown " what’s with your teeth" she asked without thinking, her usual habit of acting without thinking. She realised how random and stupid the question sounded as soon as it left her but she did not apologise, she still wanted to know the answer.

"Broken noses, eh? That's awful - fancy ruining such a beautiful face because they can. They must be idiots." he said, smiling. He was a flirt; and a major one at that. Any chance, he'd take to flirt, that was assured. As she nodded about the Slytherins, he nodded back. "I thought so. They've become pretty damn spoiled recently. I think they're being slightly too lenient with them now." He winked at her. "Especially if they can bring themselves to hurt one as pretty as you." As she told him of her blood status, he realised her voice had gone rather tense and strained. She was really worried about this, wasn't she? Mind you, he couldn't blame her. However, he now found himself in a tricky situation. What was he to do now? Evander was dating a halfblood - and that was frowned upon in general. What would happen if he was found talking to a Muggleborn? Wait...that was it! All he had to do was make sure he wasn't caught with the Muggleborn. Easy.
He smiled and shrugged. "Fair enough. I do have to admit, though, I've not met many Muggleborns who look as good as you." As he spoke, he could have sworn she was looking at his teeth. He really hoped she wasn't though - he had heard about Muggles and their weird thoughts on Vampires. Then again, Wizards were also afraid of people like Kistin and his brother. Her reply seemed like she had only just thought it up, and he had to fight the urge to roll his eyes. Honestly, even the good-looking people's brains went to mush when they thought of Vampires. It was ridiculous.
As she asked about his teeth, though, he was taken aback. Obviously he had been wrong, she wasn't afraid of him. This shocked him, as after all, when you've lived for 80 or so years being seen as "evil" and "frightening", you eventually start to believe it yourself. "My teeth?" He asked, tentatively. "A...er...medical problem." He said, smiling woodenly, his lips firmly shut. He half thought he ought to be open about it, after all, she had admitted a very dangerous thing to him. He sighed and then shrugged gently.
"I'm a...er...well..." he said, the sentence unwilling to form in his mind. "...I'm a Vampire, you see." He was watching her for her reaction. He wanted to know how she'd respond. Would she do the usual thing humans did, and back away, fearing he would bite them? Honestly. He'd outgrown the need for human blood. In general. After all, even Vampires have to treat themselves occasionally - but he tried not to. It wasn't good manners, after all. He smiled and then spoke again. "You're very inquisitive, aren't you?"

Ella Smithhold on to me love you know i can't stay longWas he flirting with her? She blushed as he complimented her again; she was on the point of being frustrated with herself. She was blushing again, how did he do it? She stood her hazel eyes fixed on him now; she was still waiting for him to pounce almost, for the nice charming manner to turn back on her like it nearly always did. She listened to what he said about the Slytherins and shrugged " Some of the teachers are worse than the students" She was more specifically thinking of Mr I-rule-the-world-because-I-am-Pureblood Malfoy at that point. She managed to blush so badly at the 'pretty' comment; however some colour still went into her cheeks for a few seconds.
However now her secret was out and she was waiting for it, the malicious comments, the sneering, the how ugly and filthy she would suddenly become, because of her blood. However she almost reacted when only his kind voice came back at her, she managed to contain it just in time. She smiled weakly " thank you" it was not just for him again complimenting her on her appearance, although she was still a bit sceptical about that fact as she knew she was in old clothes, and she had boring eyes and her hair was the usual mess she left it in. Not much effort went into her appearance, her hair was brushed and washed but that was it, she normally tied it up loosely then the smaller pieces would fall around her face and more would fall out as the day went on. The hair by her face always had that ruffled look from her constantly running her hand through it.
She then caught the rolling of his eyes, she frowned for a second, playing back her answer in her head, realising how fake it had sounded, it was the truth and the complete truth at that. Then came her teeth question, she watched him carefully eying them until his answer and then he covered them. She frowned her eyes flicking to his eyes, she tried not to get lost in them this time, failing somewhat but managed to keep her attention enough to hear the rest of his answer. She looked surprised and the looked him up and down as though seeing him for the first time. Instead of taking a step back like every other normal person would do with some kind of self preservation instinct, she leaned in, looking up at his mouth again. This was the girl that ignored all the huge hints from teachers and students to leave Hogwarts and the wizarding world. She spoke her eyes only glistening with her pure curiosity " move your lips then" she noticed how he had been hiding his teeth. When he did she went literally peered inside his mouth, looking at the pair of pointed teeth "That is weird" She then suddenly realised what she was doing and stood up straight "erm Sorry" She shot him a sheepish grin, she had gone acted and spoken without thinking of how rude that might seem. However at his last question she chuckled lightly and nodded " Yea I so tend to let my curiosity rule over me" she shrugged and again shot him the sheepish grin. She was starting to relax; her tone was starting to soften even more, her voice flowing more easily. Was it possible there was one decent man out there? No it wasn't, but what about a Vampire?

It seemed that every time he spoke, she got redder and redder. He wondered if he ought to stop - but then the thought just popped back out of his mind as quickly as it had entered. After all, she hadn't said anything about it, so she obviously wasn't minding that much. Besides, it made her look cute. As she spoke about the teachers, Kistin raised an eyebrow. "Doesn't surprise me. I've heard they can be pretty ruthless there. It's sad, though. Sounds like they enjoy bullying the "other" students. Sad, though. They must be awful teachers to get a kick out of bullying you pretty ones. Well, any of you, but even worse to someone who is as gorgeous as you." he shook his head, "Well, I know what I meant. I...do that sometimes. I try to say something and get it wrong." It was his turn to develop a pink strip across his cheeks. For anyone else, it would have been faint, but for his pale complexion it looked positively red.
She seemed almost like she was going to faint as he reacted to the "Muggleborn" comment. "Woah!" He said, quickly, positioning himself just behind her. "I hope you're not expecting me to catch you if you faint." He said, winking. "Though I would be obliged to. I'm not in the habit of letting young ladies fall to the floor and injure themselves." He smiled and then saw her reaction to his admittance. His eyes widened slightly for a second, and he actually physically stepped back. "I...I'm sorry?" he said, as he recovered, his smile returning, if slightly bemusedly. He opened his mouth and figured that she was looking around it. What a weird thing to do. She was definitely different to any other girl he'd met - human, vampire or anything else. He heard her words and smiled as she stood normally. "It's...ok, I guess. I'm sorry, I've just never met anyone who... has actually decided to look specifically at my fangs. It's...unexpected, I guess." He smiled and then waved a hand at her. "Don't apologise. I like a girl who wants to know things. Curiosity killed the cat, but it never said anything about humans or vampires." He said, laughing. "So..." he said, looking at her, interestedly, "I take it you've never met anyone with fangs, before."
She was okay, he guessed. Well, okay, more than okay. She was wonderful. Kistin had never really thought about dating anyone who wasn't a Vampire...and definitely not a Muggleborn. But, he thought, he might see how it went with this rare girl. After all, someone who didn't have fangs who didn't flinch at them? How many of those was he likely to find?!

Ella Smithhold on to me love you know i can't stay longShe raised an eye brow as he responded about her teachers. She smirked " Didn't anyone tell you? Beating up muggleborns in a national sport for all to enjoy" her voice dripped with sarcasm, she had often been told that sarcasm was the lowest form of whit. To honest, she didn’t care, and not matter how many repeated that phrase at her she got more and more the impression of that they were just jealous. She slowly let the smirk slide off her face as he continued to speak and she saw colour in his own pale skin. She kept her amusement to herself; she after all was blushing a lot more than him. He was good looking though, she eyed him, and he seemed too good to be true, hence why she was still half waiting for the pounce.
As he moved, she was surprised, she quickly turned to face him again then smiled weakly at his words about fainting " I won't don't worry, just a little surprised that’s all" She eyed him reassuringly. And she ran her hand through her tufts of hair again. But then it was his turn. She was slightly disheartened as he stepped back, she wondered if she had done something wrong. She didn't know about Vampires, well she knew they had fangs and had a dislike for the sunlight. She had frozen slightly before he had smiled and so she had continued. His fangs looked strange, she remembered seven year old boys running around at Halloween with plastic fangs and fake blood. She almost chuckled at the memory, but contained it; Kistin was just a bit different from them. She then let him speak listening, letting her eyes drift back to his eyes, it was becoming easier not to get lost in them, well she should say it was becoming easier to concentrate on him rather than his eyes, because she was sure if she stopped trying she would be lost again.
A smile touched her lips as he said she was unexpected, " your bit of a surprise yourself" she commented lightly, letting her Irish lilt ring out. However she laughed with him as he said about curiosity. Her smile still beaming, he was making her laugh, gosh it felt good. " wish everyone else saw it that way" BArely anyone had made her feel this happy recently. She had spent 7 years in the gloom of Hogwarts and now this. However she had just reminded herself, she cursed internally. Why now when she had so little time, she would have to go into hiding soon, when she left Hogwarts and the Ministry would check their records and find out she never had her Blood status checked. She sighed she would enjoy the time she had for now. She had only let her dampened spirit show for half a second before her smile had returned, she banished those thoughts form her mind as he said about not meeting someone with fangs she shook her head, her pony tail swaying lazily " Nope, never met a Vampire before". Hazel eyes scanned over him again " any other weird stuff I should know about?" She asked lightly, eyes flicking back to his " someone has probably told you but you have really nice eyes" She said looking at them again like they were addictive.

"Oh, I know it is." He replied lightly, tapping her on the top of the head gently. "But I've never really enjoyed it. Then again, I doubt the Purebloods'd let me know. I'm sure they think that at any moment I'd start attacking them for their "superior blood"." He shook his head and laughed. "The thing is, while it sounds a joke, I'm sure some of them think that. It's unbelievable." He looked at her and smiled more openly, his fangs more on display than ever before. "You know, I think I'll get on very well with you. You've got a very sarcastic...feisty side - haven't you? I like that. I like that a lot."
As she reassured him, he laughed. "I'm glad. Though I'd have no issue with keeping a woman like you from falling." He was mentally telling himself to stop it again, and yet again he ignored it. She seemed to almost be lapping it up, than feeling overwhelmed. And as long as she was happy, Kistin was going to carry on. Just like he had been. As she looked in his eyes, he took the opportunity to look at hers. They were big, and hazel. They reminded him of rich chocolate, the chocolate he had eaten as a normal boy in Italy, before his father had died and he'd been changed. They were soft and friendly, and he found them absolutely enthralling. Girls had always got lost in his eyes, but he'd never been lost in theirs. This time, though, he found out how it felt to be taken in, rather than taking them in.
As she smiled and complimented him, his own smile grew - if it got much bigger, it would be leaving his face. "It that a good surprise or bad surprise?" He could guess, but thought he ought to give her sarcastic side a chance for another airing. Plus it would mean that he could have a good old banter with her and see how she took it. He had seen many women who could be sarcastic, but grew frustrated and annoyed when the sarcasm came back to them. He hoped she wouldn't be one of them - because it would ruin nearly everything he thought of this girl if she was. Her smile was contagious and he commented on it. "You know, you have such a magical smile - no pun intended - it's amazing. It's the first time I've seen you smile fully, I think. You ought to smile more. You look absolutely radiant when you do."
As she spoke about the "weird stuff", he laughed. "Well, I don't know. I don't think so. I don't think i have any other "weird stuff" that I know of." As she complimented his eyes, he made sure she had a good eyeline with him - the height difference didn't make much of an issue, but it was starting to play on his mind. "I could say the same about yours. They're like chocolate - proper chocolate. The stuff my mother used to give me and my brother when we lived in Italy. They're absolutely enchanting." For a few seconds, he stood there, both of them just looking in each others' eyes.

Ella Smithhold on to me love you know i can't stay longElla listened to his response to her sarcasm, she liked it, he didn't back down or get pissed off with it. She then chuckled lightly as he said about the pureblood thinking he would want their blood more. She carried on the joke, letting her own tones whit ring out " Watch out you might somehow steal their magic through drinking their blood" she was playing on the fact that muggleborns were said to have stolen magic unless they could prove they had inherited it. This then posed the question how had Ella been accepted into Hogwarts and not gone to Azkaban. Most just assumed she had passed her blood status test so never asked questions. No one had realised yet it was more due to the ministry’s mistake that she was thankful for. She sighed. She then shot him an innocent look as he said about her sarcastic side she then responded, being Ironic as usual " I wouldn't dream of being Sarcastic, I have no Idea where you got that idea from" She raised an eye brow lightly, as though questioning him, she planted a very false serious look on her features for a second then smiled " Ewww the Filthy Mudblood has a nasty half-breed for a friend" she said sticking her nose up and mocking the way purebloods tended to act around her.
As he said about falling she laughed " you are a hopeless flirt aren't you?" She smiled and looked into his eyes; she vaguely noticed his were gazing into hers. But then she saw his smile, it looked almost comical as it stretched across his face, but she also noticed it enhanced his features, making them seem even more handsome then they had before. But as he said about surprises she smirked " Oh gosh it was terrible, There’s this great big scarwie Vampire and I am just running for my life as fast as I can" She smiled at him, she loved banter, but she couldn’t have a good old banter at school because no one was that light hearted.
As he commented about her smiled, she smiled again, letting it beam up at him like the sun, she then spoke in a slightly lower tone " you make me smile a lot, and laugh, It’s been awhile since I have laughed like this". She had been happy with Tonks, of course but this was different, a different kind of happy, just as strong but different. She looked up to him and for the first time she noticed the height difference, he was taller than her by quite a bit. She was a slender girl as well, but she was not weak in human terms, her evidence of muscle in her arms and legs, but not enough to make her mescaline looking. She was also curvy, she had under her old tatty clothes that did nothing to flatter her figure, and a body mist would crave for. As he said about not knowing about weird stuff, she shrugged " I dunno, stuff like Garlic, and crosses" she paused then before he could answer continued letting amusement drop into her voice " Sleeping in coffins, castles, dungeons and motes" She grinned at him. But then she was lost in his eyes as he seemed to be lost in hers. She was lost for a second before a trail of thought suddenly came her way, her random trails of thoughts were an often occurrence " Erm How old are you?" she asked lightly, eyeing him, she had a feeling he was older then he looked

"Oh no, that's only the half of it. I won't just steal their magic." He said, with a psuedo-maniacal look upon his face. He then stopped, and looked at her quite seriously. "You see, there's a half-truth there." He said, with the air of a museum curator. "But there's a possibility that they mixed it up to fit the muggleborns better. Vampires don't steal magic...but if bitten, the person in question becomes subservient - and the Vampire who bit them has control over them." He shrugged. "But don't let that put you off me. I promise I won't bite you. I wouldn't want to leave scars on that lovely neck of yours. It'd look awful - and I'd feel awful too."
He heard her sigh and looked at her questioningly, but then heard her comments. "No, you're not sarcastic at all. What a stupid thing for me to suggest." He replied, in the same kind of tone as her. "I'm sorry, my "sarcasm-o-meter" must have been set to "oversensitive". My mistake." He smirked at her. He never really smirked much as he never really had a reason to. As she mimicked the purebloods, he was overwhelmed with laughter. He planted a serious look on his face, and then replied, "and the Halfbreed seems to be attempting to flirt with her. How awful. Doesn't he have standards? Wait, he's a halfbreed. Of course he doesn't." He loved poking fun at himself, and what better time to do it than now?
As she too commented on his flirting, he shrugged. "You don't seem to mind. And I may be flirting, but I'm definitely not hopeless, thanks very much." He said, putting an over-the-top pout on his face, acting like a big child, and then grinned. He was loving it, all the attention, and from this very special woman. As she mentioned the "big scarwie vampire", he had to chuckle. "Great? Oh yes." He winked. "Big? Not really. Scarwie? If it was anyone but you, I'd have found the pronounciation of that word sickening...but you make it sound oddly cute, while I make it sound weird. Vampire? Well, I guess I can't argue with that." He said, shrugging. "And you really are running for your life, aren't you?" He said, laughing. "You've moved all of...nothing...in the time we've been talking. Wait, that's a point."
He raised his wand and conjured a single chair. It was wooden, high backed, covered in a red velvety material (and cushions); and had arms. He gestured towards it. "I should have offered sooner. Would you like a seat?" He asked Ella. As she told him about her smile, he smiled back at her. "I'm glad I can make a difference. I'll admit, I may be a joker, but even I don't smile this much usually. We're good for each other like that, don't you think?" He said, honestly. As she suggested a few things that may be considered "weird", he grinned. "You haven't got fed up with me already, have you?" He asked teasingly. "half of that stuff is assumed to kill Vampires, I know that for a fact." He sighed, and then began. "Well, garlic hurts. It doesn't kill us, but it hurts. A lot. Crosses, I've never come across. I don't think they hurt, but I can't speak from experience. Wait a minute..." He heard her amusement. "You're enjoying this, aren't you? Well. I don't sleep in a coffin, beds a re far more comfortable, and I, personally, live in a manor - not a castle - but I can't speak for others. Uh...what were the last ones? Oh yeah, dungeons - yes, we do have them, and moats - well, I don't live in a castle so, no, we don't have 'em." He looked at the ground, his mind telling him to tell her about the other thing that was a risk in vampires. Evander was showing signs...
"There...there is one other thing that does affect Vampires, though." He said, looking back at her. He thinned his lips and then spoke again, his voice quiet, as if struggling with something close. "As Vampires grow older...they lose...they lose their emotions." His eyes flicked to the floor, and then back to Ella. "It's something that can appear at any time. My brother, who's only three years older than me, is showing signs already. But, then again, it can stay away for hundreds of years at a time. I've been lucky, so far." He smiled, a little less fully than before. "It's nothing much, but you were asking for weird things. I guess that's as weird a thing as any."
He heard her ask his age, and he smiled. "It sounds a little odd, but it's not that bad. I'm 107 human years old, but in Vampire years that's equal to...ooh...about 20 to 25 years old. Why, how old are you?"

Ella Smithhold on to me love you know i can't stay longShe listened then as he spoke about an effect of being bitten. She thought about it, then eyed him " wow I was just joking about the fact the ministry has convinced everyone that muggle 7 year old children manage to steal magic" she shrugged then she began to tease him a wicked glint in her eyes " I am glad to know you have such moral reason for not biting me, because I would have a scar on my neck?" she smiled; she was only playing about with him. She made it clear with her tone of voice she had not been frightened off by that comment. She had ignored his questioning look, making it seem as though she hadn't seen it, the truth was she didn't want to dampen their mood or put her burden on his shoulders.
Then the banter came, she smiled as he relied letting her coy little grin stay on her face, she stayed silent until he said about his sarcasm-o-meter. She nodded " Good I like a man that admits his mistakes" she then poked her tongue out at him, it was a childish urge, but Ella was one to go with impulsive urges rather than thinking about what she was doing. She joined in with Kistin in their round of laughter mocking the purebloods, she then listened to his reply and continued laughing. Their mirth filled the cave, rebounding off the walls in echoes.
As he spoke about flirting however she chuckled reaching up and patting him on the head " Yea more like a Victory than a hopeless cause" she wondered if he would understand that. Whether he would understand that she was completely and utterly under his spell. He was too good to be true, he actually liked her and the best bit, he had a sense of humour, the Vampire part of him was just a minor detail, one she wouldn't even consider calling a fault. At his pout she chuckled and mimicked him, they were acting like 5 year olds, but who cared? They didn't and no one was there to judge them. She then smiled as his comment on her use of language. She chuckled as he said she made it sound cute. " your big compared to me, you make me look small" She then chuckled, She was actually averaged sized neither small or tall. Her hazel eyes looked to him again as he commented on her comment about running she chuckled " well done you understood my joke, however you don't win anything sorry"
When he made the chair appear though she smiled. She sat in it when offered; she had only just noticed her legs starting to ache from standing for so long. She smiled now at an even lower level to him. She drew her legs up and sat cross legged on the chair and eye Kistin " Not conjuring one up for yourself?" She asked lightly. She hadn't learned Tonk's beanbag trick yet so she couldn't. As he spoke about them being good for each other she nodded with her smile on her face " Yea ". Ella then stopped, she wanted to know more about Vampires as was her curious way. She listened as he said about the stuff she had mentioned being assumed to kill Vampires, she sighed overly loud " Damn you saw through my cunning plan" She was surprised he raised to her teasing and answered the question about each thing in turn. She almost laughed, maybe they were made for each other, and she hated Garlic, its smell and taste. She decided to mention this aloud " I hate Garlic so it’s not a problem" She shrugged and ran a hand through her hair apart from this time it didn't stop it ran down her hair, her fingers caught hold of the hair band and pulled it out. Her hair cascaded back down around her shoulders. She had left the pony tail and slipped too far out. She put it around her wrist then retied the hair slightly tighter but still loose. She didn't have as much hair by the side of her face but she still had a bit, oh well it would soon all fall back out of the pony tail. But then the emotion loss came. She sighed, the conversation suddenly going serious. She eyed Kistin softly " I can't imagine you without emotions, somehow seems.... wrong" she mused gently. Then of course the age came, her eyes widened slightly, she then smiled " Just curious, I am 17, 18 in June" She smiled, some age gap then, but for some reason it was like the fact he was vampire, she didn't forget it, it was just in the background, not really a factor that was a priority to her.

As she teased him, he shrugged, noncommittally. "It's moral enough.", he ginned and then said, more seriously, "Nah, I'm not that kind of Vampire. I don't need the subservience and all that stuff. The Vampires who do that are usually so full of themselves that it's sickening. They're like the Purebloods of the Vampires...if there is such a thing. Anyway, I can't imagine a strongwilled, sarcastic girl like you being subservient. It's just not gonna happen in a million years." He said, laughing.
As she spoke again and stuck her tongue out, he smiled and replied as if hurt "I thought you liked me anyway." And then grinned agian. His cheeks were beginning to hurt from all the smiling he was doing - he hadn't smiled this much in years. As she patted him on the head, he reached around her waist, and picked her up, holding her slightly above his head - which actually worked quite well, as she then commented on his height. "How does it feel to be tall for once?" He said, as he looked up at her, winking. He hoped he hadn't frightened her by picking her up so fast, but she seemed to be almost un-phase-able, so he doubted she'd have an issue. As she spoke once more, he placed her back down on terra firma, and clicked his fingers. "Damn. And I was after a cuddly toy." He said, the sarcasm oozing. He tried to keep a straight face, but it failed miserably, and he was sblack personing quietly, without moving his lips, his nostrils flaring slightly.
As she sat cross-legged on the chair and asked about him, he shook his head and sat next to it, instead. "I'm used to sitting on the ground." he said, not wanting to elaborate - she needn't know about his amazing knowledge of what lies beneath St. Mungo's Hospital. "And anyway," he added, "It means you're taller than me, which makes a nice change. I don't like always looking down at people." He was glad she then agreed that they were good for each other. Kistin wasn't exactly a hopeless romantic, but he felt something for this woman...she was bright and vivacious. She had a good sense of humour and wasn't put off by the fact he was a Vampire. She was something special. That much was obvious to anyone with eyes and ears.
As they spoke about the "odd" and "weird" things that vampires had and/or did, he heard her sigh and her words and waggled his finger at her, speaking in a very deliberate, very patronising voice. "Look, if you want to get rid of me - you just have to say "Kistin, go away." Three words, that's all. You don't need to kill me. Lesson One in "Etiquette towards Vampires", okay?!" As she let her hair go loose, it was astonishing at the difference it made to her image. She looked even more stunning than she had previously. He lost track of what he was saying for a moment, and then carried on explaining the things she had asked.
As he mentioned the possibility of losing his emotions, he heard her sigh and he looked to her. When she spoke, he looked to the ground, and then back to her, a soft smile on his face. He reached up and just brushed a finger beneath her chin. "Thanks. I can't imagine myself without emotions, either. I guess I just think...well, whatever was left of me wouldn't be...well, me." He closed his eyes and shook his head gently, as if to rid himself of the thoughts. Then she asked his age. As she responded to his revelation, he smiled. "Thanks for changing the subject." He said, with gratitude. "17, eh? What's it feel like to be regarded as an adult...? If anyone does treat you like one, that is. I know the purebloods probably don't." He said, an eyebrow raised.
He stood up, and then rested himself against one of the arms on the chair. He was now slightly taller than her, but it wasn't nearly as significant as when they had stood together.
