 Welcome to nineteenth century Britain, otherwise known as the Victorian era. The Victorian age is interesting enough without anything extra, but there's a tiny twist...
A select few humans have supernatural powers; some from events in their past, while others seem to have been born with their ability. They're called "The Extraordinary," are they are the forerunners of modern day superheroes. Most keep their powers secret, afraid of what life would be like if the public knew. None of them have silly costumes, none of them save the world publicly, and very few of them have nicknames like "Wonder Woman" or "Superman."
No organizations have yet been formed to support, teach, or control Extraordinaries. Some have chosen a heroic path, while others a villainous one. Others can never make up their mind, instead acting in ways that suit their own wants and needs. Some have only recently discovered their powers, and don't yet know what path to take.
Will you ignore your power, or treasure it? Will you use it to assist others, all for the greater good? Will you use it for your own means?
Or will you simply watch the world burn? |
