I DONT WANNA BE THE FOOLW H E N A L L Y O U G O T I S T R I C K S_________________________________________________
It was her chance to get some fresh air so she arrived to one of her childhood homes, Hog's Head. Her curious mind often got the best of her when she would come to the location. No matter the dusty bottles and cups and possibly the whole place, there was history behind the location that always intrigued her. Often the moment she was able to attend Hogsmeade she sought out Hogs Head. Of course she was a bit younger than the guests there but soon became somewhat of a local when she went several times throughout the summer as well. Of course her mother didn't approve of it but her father did and she often tagged along when he went there for a drink.
It was the center for all stories of the dark and gossip of what had been going on. Often she found the best current events there and would go back to her other friends and spread it. But this was the present. She had long since graduated but still attended from time to time. And today had been one of those days. Although she had to admit she had to personally ask the bartender to make sure she got the clean bottles.
For the chilly spring night she had decided to dress down a bit with her jeans and turtleneck with brown boots to match. It was enough to keep her at a comfortable temperature but she could only hope she'd be just as comfortable inside Hog's Head. Pulling open the door she was welcomed with a gust of wind that blew out from the inside before she quickly stepped in. Letting go of the door as it closed behind her. Her eyes quickly drifted to the bar and she licked her lips at the thought of the sweet liquid as it would burn down her throat. Making her way over to the bar she leaned against it grinning lightly, "Got a cold firewhiskey for a gal?" She grinned before tossing a few sickles across the bar to him.
It didn't take long before the clean bottle was in her hands. Obviously the new landlord was a bit more sense to keep the place more tidy and clean. But it didn't lose the culture charm. Turning around she leaned onto the bar her elbows resting on the counter as she moved her hand up to take a drink before she took in a few drinks of it before her eyes took in the darker more shadowed shapes of others in the back. Part of her curious side was drawn to the group. She was well known around the shop and her status within the community wasn't anything she worried about.

It was his chance to get some air as well. Head held high, Lucius Malfoy moved fluidly through the crowds, head high, expression stern and proud, eyes calm. His motive for being here wasn't thought out, mainly to turn heads, but he did that anywhere and anyway. Slowing his steps , his hair flowed around his shoulders and flicked in the air as he tossed it back with a toss of his head. A few times he glanced over his shoulder, thinking someone called his name, on that note, they probably did. Anyhow, he called the shots around here, no-one would dare challenge him. He was the elite, the ruling class. he was Lucius Malfoy.
Dressed casually, a black shirt and white suit jacket, along with tight-ish black jeans sporting a broad studded belt as well as thin leather gloves...black with small studs near the knuckles...or where those diamonds? Striding into a small shop, not before glancing around quickly, he passed a few young females who giggled nervously. He cast a quick eye over them, not at all interested and carried on. Even though in his mid forties, he still had a sweet tooth and purchased a wand shaped chocolate bar with melon flavored sherbet at the end. Yes, a sweet tooth, but a weird tooth as well. He passed the young ladies again and half sneered at them with the sweet in his mouth. The effect was immediate, all of them had to lean on each other for support.
He snorted and moved on, sweeping around the shop corner, hair flowing in the slight breeze he created. Grey eyes half closed, relaxed as he patrolled the small village of Hogsmeade, going no-where in particular, just exercising lightly, looking around and what the world was today...again. An slight eye roll and smirk as he finished the sweet, savoring the taste of melon. And odd taste for sure but nothing he wasn't used to. He had tasted much worse...trust him.
A shoulder connected with his lightly, but it was enough to snap him out of his daydream and slide around the obstruction. As his hair swept back away from his face, he was about to snap at the person but found himself looking into the face of what he could describe as, a stylish angel. A charming smirk found its way onto his lips before he could stop it, his voice also had a mind of its own on that day.
Awfully sorry, my dear. My bad entirely. he drawled.

I DONT WANNA BE THE FOOLW H E N A L L Y O U G O T I S T R I C K S_________________________________________________
Daphne had been growing deep into her thoughts as her hand held onto the sweet and sinful bottle of liquor while her eyes stared absentmindedly at the wall behind the men who spread most of the gossip she had gotten in the past. Certainly they were more of a regular than she had been. But a light impact to her shoulder had knocked her out of her own thoughts as she took to the look of who it had been. The elder Malfoy. If it hadn't been her fault she probably would have held her blubbering of sorries. But instead she held her own and took his appearance in. He certainly hadn't changed from when she had last seen him. Perhaps it was a good thing he hadn't changed or aged in her eyes.
She hadn't gotten to known him as much as she wished too when she had dated Draco but from the times she had seen him was nothing but good vibes and well, he hadn't been half bad. Certainly where Malfoy had gotten his looks from but with the Elder Malfoy she was certain on what she had seen so far he made up for what Draco lacked. Her chocolate eyes took him in before she grinned shaking her head, "It was my fault. Should have been leaning against the bar just a foot more over. Bar tends to slump in around there," she replied smoothly.
Taking another swig, a somewhat ladylike one, or at least as lady like she could be she smiled deciding to take a seat if she would have company longer than she thought she would. After all she hadn't seen Lucius if at all since the break up with Draco ages ago. Crossing her legs she glanced to his eyes, not a thing changed. Still the pale gray eyes. "So Mr.Malfoy, what brings you to Hog's Head?" She asked turning to face the bar the same coy smile playing across her lips as she took another sip of her drink feeling the small rush from it. Perhaps a boring evening or close to it would turn to an entertaining experience.

It was none other than Daphne Greengrass. He searched his memory for even a glimpse of her and realised he had seen her around with Draco at some point or another. That had almost no importance now as he shrugged it off.
"So Mr.Malfoy, what brings you to Hog's Head?"
He chuckled and lent back onto a wooden beam. Just Lucius will do, m'dear, he purred, watching her movements. Her eyes were a beautiful brown, not to dark, not too light but mesmerizing all the same, he felt himself falling into her gaze, and he didn't want to stop himself, but he had to. It was hard, but he did...and instantly fell into a trance again, this time his eyes were draw to her lips. A slight shudder passed through him as Daphne sipped daintily at the bottle she was holding.
Blinking smoothly, Lucius cruised past her to order a drink form the bar and sat down, motioning for his companion to do the same. Maybe this 'wander' wasn't going to be so random after all. Twisting and leaning his back and shoulders against the wooden edge of the bar, he replied to Daphne's question.
Well, I decided to get out for a while and see what was going on in the world, plus I had a craving for melon flavored chocolate sticks and Tiger Beer. he stated in a relaxed manner as his drink arrived. He quirked an eyebrow at Daphne, his tone changed into one of slight concern.
Can I get you anything to eat at all? Oh and I didn't quite catch your name...

Her eyes hadn't moved from his face as she took another drink. She had to admit, men were like wine. They got better with age. Perhaps it was also the mature factor. They weren't exactly going out drinking every night and partying it up. Perhaps Lucius would be a fresh breath of air if they managed to keep in touch after this meeting unlike the last time they had met. A small grin crossed her lips as she nodded her head, "Lucius it is then," she replied. It was after all a name of respect but even greater respect when they had wished you to call them by just their first name instead of title. Perhaps a equality hidden in those lines. It certainly lifted her spirits as she watched each movement of his as he moved past her.
She forced her eyes not to wander as she smiled almost a coy smile as she turned her eyes across the bar before taking another sip before joining him. Much of him reminded her of how Draco acted and moved. But in his own way if not better. The Lucius style if ever there was a name for it. Daphne managed to rest comfortably on the bar stool as she set her drink down to allow time to let it settle. Her mother's voice in her head was to thank for that. The constant preaching of the manners and lady etiquette was to thank for that.
Daphne laughed lightly and grinned nodding, "Sadly, I think I know the temptation of candy and beer all to well. Every once in a while it's good to treat yourself." The talk of candy was growing a small craving but nothing that couldn't be solved that night. She was slightly taken aback by his concern for her hunger but at the same time it certainly confirmed her suspicions. He hadn't been a bad guy, but instead, well a respectable one. That she didn't doubt but the smallest part of her didn't respect Draco even with the same last name and Pureblood. Shaking her head she grinned picking her bottle up once more as she held it up lightly, "All I need is in the palm of my hand," she replied.
A slight frown crossed her lips when he couldn't remember her name. But part of her understood why, it had been so long and she hardly talked to the older adults at such gatherings, "Daphne. Daphne Greengrass," She nodded with a small nod before taking a small drink. Hopefully after this conversation she certainly know Lucius better and she would leave a good imprint. But there was something there she couldn't quite put her finger on about him. The air and aroma that came with him. Perhaps it had been something else?

His head turned to order something from the bar, Peanuts and a mildly strong liquor or sorts. His interest was waning slightly, nothing was happening. Bowing his head and stretching his arms and back, he signaled to the bar man to deliver the food to a near by table. Getting up, Lucius nodded towards the table, a long luxurious thing with a wall sofa. Join me, Daphne? he asked softly before gliding over to the seating and sitting gracefully, taking off his jacket and leaning back, slinging bath arms over the back of the sofa, elbows touching the wall and hands draping down on both sides, long fingers playing with the fabric. From that position, he took some more time to study her. She was a strong looking fae for sure, she could handle her drink and didn't look like the type to get drunk of a whim, well maybe slightly tipsy but that wasn't his concern and he wasn't going to make it his concern in the near future, either.
Even though he was slightly bored, a tempest raged in his stomach as he took in her full being. He wanted her. Not in the way that a stallion claims a prize, but he just...needed her. he couldn't even describe the feeling himself. A deep yet quiet half laugh cruised up from his chest as he craned his head back, tresses falling down his shoulders, reaching his stomach almost. It was unusual for Lucius to have his hair down, it was usually in a ponytail with an elaborate bow keeping it together, but today he just felt the need for something different.
Head bent forwards again and he lifted his hand to his mouth and pulled his gloves off with his teeth, keeping his eyes focused directly on Daphne as he did so, one eyebrow quirked in a playful manner. That done, his attention was caught by a waiter laying down the ordered food for him. Acknowledging him with a small nod, Lucius laid down a generous tip for him and then turned his views back onto Daphne.
