I know it may look like a bad time to join a site like this, with exams and other obligations to attend to. But, after coming across this site on a whim and reading over the plot, I really like the concept and possibly want to give it a try. And, besides, all sites go through times like these. I've owned a few and have been a member of countless others, and know this routine pretty well.
Although I won't go into depth with my first name, I would prefer it if out of character I'm called Mercury, Merc, or any variation of that. I got the name from talking with a friend of mine, agreeing that all of our friends would have codenames which were also elements in the periodic table (I know, really nerdy). I've have that nickname since my sophomore year of high school; a long time since I graduated this year :3.
I am still a member of an OC Harry Potter site, but I've been itching to try something different, if you understand what I mean. Including playing a canon character (I was the prospective member of the C-Box who wanted to be the third Hermione). Playing a person who would be so persecuted in this world, in comparison to being revered in what has been written, seems like a fun ride. Most HP sites are either future, 1970's, have al the canons snapped up, of some or all of the above.
I really do hope that this place picks up over the course of the summer, and any bit of advice in regards to this place would be greatly appreciated. I hope I have a pleasant stay here, and if after I post a character you're interested in roleplaying with me (or have any other questions), feel free to PM me!
