Every Hermione needs her Ron. Unfortunately, war and prejudice can break even the most stable of couples apart...
(NOTE: this is posted because Ron has not yet been applied for as a canon. if he is declared dead by another character after this is posted, we'll discuss to see how this will work or if I will need to remove this.)
Here's what you need to know:
1. Hermione and Ronald were engaged when they were twenty-one years old after she left the wizarding world post Battle of Hogwarts (and came back). Before this, he could have presumed she was dead. It's up to the player.
2. When she was twenty-two years old, she broke off her engagement with Ron, citing the persecution she felt for being muggleborn and grief.
3. Afterwards, she lived in a flat in London and worked at a Muggle bookstore.
4. Now, she is trying to gather up surviving DA members and new recruits to attempt to overthrow the pureblooded regime.
During the time where she is ousted from the wizarding world, she would have no contact with Ron whatsoever (she felt it was safer for him and his family).
Everything else, including his allegiance, feelings towards Hermione, and personality (besides what is directed in the books) is completely up to whoever plays him. This is just a guide to explain what exactly happened between them up until this point.
