An Idea

Hi everyone,

I was thinking today that a site only works if the roleplayers and the admins are working together on the same wavelength and can freely share ideas and thoughts. While typing is all very well, and the chatbox kinda fulfils some of that role, I was wondering whether or not to try something new.

The idea is that once a month (maybe more, maybe less) I organise a skype video or voice conversation for the site. I would make an announcement the week (or maybe two weeks) beforehand, and basically say: "Hi guys, I am able to spare (an amount of time, probably an hour or two) next week to discuss filth, and any comments, questions suggestions or anything else about the site." I would create a Skype account for filth (to avoid cluttering my personal one) and sit on there between those times so anyone who wished to talk to me could.

I wouldn't expect you all to come and join in for the whole time unless you wished to, and whether you joined in at all is purely down to you. I just think it might add a bit more of a "personal" feel to the site, so you can actually speak to me, and let me know what you want to get out of the site, and any things you would like to see changed, or maybe anything you really like about the site that I should only change if I really want an outcry! XD

So...what do you think? If there are enough people wanting me to do this, I will...if not, I won't. Either way is fine, but I thought I would put it out to you all.

Nothing wrong with being first - in fact it's in keeping with your character!! XD

I've never heard of anything like this being done before either, but I wondered if it would be worth trying it out - who knows, we could start a trend for other sites!!!

sounds like a pretty rad idea. i've never seen sites do anything like it before either. the closest i've seen admins do off their sites for members is youtube videos. but with this it's more communicating together and yadda yadda. =P but yeah.

the only problem I can see is possibly arranging it at a time that most people can get on. I don't know where everyone else lives, but considering the usual kinda times people are on, I'd imagine most are from the US or work during (what I'd consider, being in GMT) the day (Yay for being a college student and getting the summer off!)

If so, then me in the UK organising a skype chat at 10am here could be like me organising something at 5am - 6am for some people. Admittedly I'd be looking at doing these skype sessions on a Saturday in the evening (so 7-9pm GMT)...

But yeah, there's a few logistics to work out ^.^;;
