A young girl entered through the Leaky Cauldron, trying to ignore the enticing scent of slow-cooked stew. She stepped out the back door and stood in front of the wall, taking a deep breath. She finally inched forwards into Diagon Alley, bracing herself to walk with the self-proclaimed Purities. There were many people along the streets and shops, some rich-looking but most rather poor. It was a depressing place now, no more happy squealing children, no more lightheartedness.
The sun was obscured by the dark clouds; rain would come soon. It was quite chilly. A light fog swirled across the ground, slightly obscuring the walkway below. Valkyrie pulled her hood over her head, ice-blue eyes flicking back and forth warily. She tried to ignore her rumbling stomach and the dirty homeless grabbing onto the hem of her cloak. She shivered and remembered exactly why her hood was pulled up and her cloak was wrapped tightly around her--she was a dirty homeless as well.
Valkyrie tried not to catch anyone's eye, and felt as though people were steering clear of her. Could they see the wolf in her eye? The shadow of her pelt? Her hand closed on the wand in her pocket and she clutched it tightly, feeling a little more reassured by it. She glanced down at the floor, hoping to see the glitter of a Galleon, even a Knut. But the others would have got to it first, and what rich Wizard would drop a coin? She walked into a small bakery and grabbed two loaves of bread. She dropped five Sickles on the counter and walked out, not speaking to anyone at all. Hopefully no one would think she had stolen it; she had left money. Valkyrie sat on a small stone bench and began to eat her bread.

Selina growled as she walked through the streets, her runespoor wand held at the ready, hidded behind the black fabric of her cloak. She was weary. It was allways worst, the first day of the cycle, well...second worst.
The pre-lunar tention was geting to her, her inner wolf was screaming at her to do something else, to stop limating the muscles to the confines of walking. The wolf wanted to run and run, never looking back and so did Selina.
She wished that she had stayed in Germany. There, there was less comand of the pureblood scum. There was more freedom and hills, where she could run as far as she liked.
The streets of diagon alley were dank and dark. Selina wished she had seen it when it was the beautiful place it use to be, before the filth came and tainted the freedom. It was everything that Selina use to stand against and she felt like a traitor.
Her eyes looked around upon the madness, and senced the madness within. There was another wolf nearby. She could smell it, sence it's presance. Searching with her eyes, the alley seemed to stretch on forever, but her instincts drew her closer to the wolf. Some burried feeling seemed to have drew upon the fact that someone was in her territory, her hunting grounds.
Just a few more days, and the wolf could be free. She only had to wait that long.

Valkyrie ate the last of her bread and sighed. Her stomach still growled with hunger; or maybe it was the wolf, trying to force its way out. That was the worst part of her affliction--the wolf constantly fighting to take complete control of her. "Cut it out," she told it, unintentionally aloud. Some rich-looking witches stared at her in contempt, and she blushed deep scarlet. They probably thought she was mad, just more impure scum unworthy to walk the streets of 'thier town.' So be it. As long as she herself knew she wasn't insane, all was right. But now she wondered if she truly was sane, or was she as sane as everyone else?
Life was very confusing.
A sudden scent hit her; something Val hadn't smelled in a while. It was a comforting smell, yet it set her on edge. It smelled of home and familiarity; family, maybe. Something clicked in her mind. Werewolf.
Valkyrie jumped to her feet, wand out. Her heartbeat quickened; was this werewolf territorial? Violent? Obviously violent. She herself was always violent this time of month. She closed her eyes and breathed slowly, trying to calm herself down. The wolf inside was happy now, ready for a fight and urging her on. Go on, it seemed to be telling her. What are you waiting for?
She took a few tentative steps towards the scent, her eyes watching every person's movements. Who could it be? Another homeless, maybe. The old man who always seemed wolfish? The small scruffy child? Or maybe it was a person pretending to be Pure.
Maybe.

Selina turned around sharply. There it was, it filled her nostrils so that she was almost suffocating on it. She followed it until she found the sorce of the scent.
It was a girl, much younger then Selina was, her blond hair not disimilar to Selina's but there was a ferral look about her innocence, unseen to those who did not possess the wolf eyes. Every werewolf could see the madness within.
Selina took her wand out, to be cautious, the tip pointed at the girls heart. Although she looked inncocent, Selina could smell the beast, hear it's thirst.
"Who are you?" Selina growled in a voice of authority.

Who are you?
Valkyrie stared down at the wand pointing directly at her chest. Her heart sank, fluttering somewhere around her kneecap. She slowly looked up at the person's face, carefully trying to hide her fear. The girl strangely loked a lot like her; with wavy blonde hair and silvery eyes.
The main, glaring difference was the way the other girl held herself--with confidence, without fear. She was wearing mostly black. Valkyrie would bet ten Galleons this werewolf was a Death Eater. She shivered. Great. she thought. The only other werewolf in this place and she's a damn Death Eater.
She realized she had been standing there stupidly for the past few minutes. She willed herself to speak, something, anything."Death Eater?" she said in a whisper, regretting it almost as soon as it came out of her mouth.
She composed herself and drew out her wand. "What's it to you?" she snapped, in an answer to the girl's first question. She hoped she sounded sufficiently confident and not like she was scared to death this girl was gonna hurt her in some way. Or recruit her. Which might be even worse...

Selina tilted her head to look at the girl closer. The girl was terrified, it was obvious. Selina could smell the fear and she fought down the urge to leap, that instinct.
She heard a slight whisper of the girl. Death eater? Selina snarled. It sounded unattached to her, as if it had always hung in the air, without her noticing it. Selina tried to hold it in but it was so close to the full moon...so close.
"Yes, I'm a Death Eater." Selina said, not looking directly at the girl's face. She sensed no danger from the girl so she adjusted her wand so it wasn't as threatening but still aimed at her, just in case. "Stop acting like a little girl. You're not, even though you may appear it."
Selina hated the way people stared at her in fear but the inner wolf lapped it up, growling at people as she passed them to make them fear her more. Selina wished she had more control and wouldn't rip people's throats out once every month. The wolf laughed at her.
What's it to you? The girl stammered. Selina was a mix of being impressed and being irritated. The girl was obviously terrified and yet she stood up to a death eater, no less. But there were always the few stupid ones, who thought that they were so cleaver. Whou thought that by being rude and annoying death eaters, it would help the pockets of resistance. Most of them were Avada Kerdavra-ed. But Selina had never perfomed that curse. It was bad enough that she killed one night a month.
"Because, you stupid girl." Selina whispered huskily. "Most of the wolves have either fled or joined and yet you have neither." Selina's brother and her entire family had fled, leaving Selina alone. "Do you have a death wish?"
