The surroundings of Hogwarts Castle are always gloomy, now a days, even if illuminated by a bright sun. Students seem defeated, and worried even, as they scurry about. There are a few classes taught in the surrounding areas of Hogwarts- such as Herbology, and Care of Magical Creatures. Some other classes may be taught out here, if they need the extra space.

The dungeons are dank and musty, with a dark feel to them. It is here that the prized and glorified Slytherins make their homes. All potions classes are taught here. There are many classrooms not used for classes, though, which are occupied by items put into storage. The kitchens are also located here.

The ground floor is the first place you will come upon entering Hogwarts. Here is also where the Great Hall is located, for taking meals and the famous welcoming feast. Off to the side near the entrance in the Entrance Hall is the four hourglasses that show how many points each of the houses has at the moment. Slytherin is nearly always in the lead.

This floor isn't used much, only holding two places one would wish to venture to. The Dark Arts is a mandatory class taken by all, and is taught on this floor. It is one of the largest rooms in the building, three classroom magically transformed into one. The Transfiguration class is also located here, though it isn't as large as the Dark Arts, it's well-lit and well-known. The Hospital Wing is also sationed here, near the the Dark Art's classroom, in case something ... unfortunate, should happen.

The second floor holds nothing of much value, except Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, and nobody ventures there anymore. The entrance to the Headmistress' office is here, as well as the Dark Art's teacher's office. Most try to avoid coming here at all, seeing it as nothing more than a death trap.

The infamous Secret Corridor leading to where Harry Potter battled Voldemort for the first time is on this floor, though nothing else of much interest is. The Armor Gallery and Trophy Room are placed here, as well as Charms class. The secret way to Hogsmeade is thought to have been closed down completely by now, though nobody really knows because nobody has the guts to try it out.

A corridor and starecase leading to the prefects bathroom is placed here, as well as the Library. Nothing else is put here of much consequence, and so it is was one of the lesser used floors of the school. Most only come here to use the extensive library, and that's not very often.

The Fifth floor is also rather bland, holding only the Prefect's bathroom and various other rooms that are never used and thus never visited, unless of course by a student wanting some alone time.

A boy's bathroom is placed here, in which Draco Malfoy once duelled Harry Potter. Otherwise, this floor remains unused. Absoloutely no classes are taught here, and no teacher makes their office on this floor. Most don't bother using this floor at all, except to walk a few feet to the next staircase.

The Seventh Floor of Hogwart's castle is where the Gryffindor Common Room is placed. The Room of Requirement is also on this floor. The Seventh Floor is mainly avoided, as no student wants to be caught "mingling" with the shunned Gryffindors.

Ravenclaw has their common room in the Towers, Gryffindor having a tower all to themselves as well. The Owlery is on this floor, as well. Their is an Astronomy tower, though the class is rarely taken. The Headmistress has her own tower for her residence and office.

London, England now has a few wizarding shops in it, all hidden from Muggle's prying eyes of course and safely out of the way so that Wizards and Witches don't have to see the filthy creatures. These shops are mainly high-end fashion, with a few that sell rare potions ingredients.

The primary health center for Wizards and Witches in the United Kingdom, St. Mungo's is located in an abandoned muggle department store bulding. Unlike most other magical buildings, it's sign is visible for muggles who pass by. It is spelled, though, to say "Closed for Refurbishment."

Diagon Alley is now a much darker place than it used to be. It's almost as bad as Knockturn, with homeless people lining the streets and muck and grime everywhere. Gringotts still stands and may be the only bright, and secure, place left.

Knockturn Alley is still not a palce you want to catch yourself in unless you're somebody who is feared and respected. It's gotton worse since Voldemort took over, and those who are poor and can't afford many things flock here to attempt and steal from the richer Wizards and Witches, or sell their usually faulty or useless wares.

Hogsmeade is still rather cozy and bright, even though there are many death eaters making their homes here. Students from Hogwarts make trips here every now and then, more often than they used to, if they have permission from their parents.

Azkaban is the prison for Wizards, surrounded by Dementors and now Death Eaters. Azkaban is now filled with blood traitors and mudbloods- anybody deemed unfit by the Death Eaters for society or breeding. Some of the Blood Traitors have been let back into society, though, including the Weasleys, so that the Pure Bloods may have more blood to choose from.

You may come here and request a house, which will be placed in this catagory. Please note that there will only be one house per character, to keep the number of houses down. Requirements are listed inside.

The Countryside is mainly occupied by cottages, and houses that don't have enough land to be considered estates, or not big enough to be considered mansions.

Nestled in little communities, the suburbs are a good choice for those with families or just those who want to live in a friendly, quiet neighborhood. Find all houses in the suburbs within.

Apartments in the United Kingdom range from the slums of Limerick to the penthouses in London. All apartments and flats can be found in this board.

Those who have money most likely own sprawling estates, with manors that show off just how much money they have. All manors and estates are kept here.

That's right, Filth has it's very own Resource board. Feel free to submit things here, as well as take them to be used for your characters. Please follow the submission rules and form.

Everybody loves these colourful little tools! They help keep your character's relationships in line, and they're just such fun to use. Please make sure, though, that your relationship plot is visible on the skin.
