Lucius lounged easily on one of the massive sofas', reclining on his back, legs barely coursed over each other, one hand behind his back and the other in the air, holding a shallow glass of red wine. To be honest, the taste of red wine usually sickened him, so why he was looking at it now, was still a complete mystery to him. He had the house to himself for now, apart from the house elves who were busy as usual, scurrying around, keeping out from under his feet. His thumb caressed the side of the finely crafted glass, etched with elaborate shallow carvings into its' light skeleton. The way the sun curled, melted and then was discarded, thrown and dismissed from the surface in a way so unique, one couldn't help but be entranced.
The sun didn't just stop at the glass, which cast a weak shadow on him, it stopped where the flesh was. Hitting the sides, curves and angles of the Lord that reclined so easily in the luxurious comfort of the surrounding area. The rays hit his shins, thighs, abdomen, chest, shoulders, neck, face and the crest of his head, highlighting the strands of platinum blond that cascaded and curved down his shoulders like an unreal waterfall. Lips that glistened unnaturally with moisture, eyes like iron in a relaxed expression, many shades of grey as the sun danced over them, their shape refined and hiding a power but not hiding the arrogance.
Again, a digit went to caress the fragile glass and it was brought to his lips, drained in one go and pulled away again, ivories exposed in a disgusted grimace before being covered and hidden from the world again. The glass was delicately placed on a sliver tray, also finely crafted with decoration that was far beyond elaborate dancing around its edge. Both hands disappeared behind the silken head which in turn, arched back with the body in a stretch, skin pushing at the thing white fabric of the shirt that was so graciously covering chiseled physique before relaxing and returning to it's languid positioning. A contented sigh brushed past the lips of the platinum diablo.
Oh it was good to be Lucius Malfoy

Adrienne had been delighted for the few day reprieve from school. Though it was not long, it was enough to allow her time to relax and catch up on some much needed sleep. However, she had not been allowed that, and had instead spent every minute plastered to her mother- not by choice of course. Every day she was up dar earlier than should be allowed, only to be dragged to the ministry, sit around and play nice with people she didn't know, and then come home. And today, they were going to visit one of ther father's "associates" for some reason or another. Something to do with paperwork, Adrienne had honestly zoned out.
They apparated to the front door of the Malfoy Manor, father and daughter, standing side by side. Even in her heels, she barely reached her father's shoulders. The big, white lion of a man stood almost protectively behind his small brunette cub, facially very similar to one another and yet so different. Alexandre lifted an arm and tapped his knuckles against the door before lowering his arm back to rest on her shoulder. "Papa." She began in her French accented voice. "Who is this man and why couldn't this wait until you saw him at work?" The big man behind her chuckled, a rumbling noise that automatically made a smile work it's way onto his daughter's face. She had always loved the sound of his laugh.
"Because, cherie, these are papers that I need by tomorrow morning, and I thought you might like to meet him. Both he and his son graduated from your house." Alexandre spoke affectionately to the youngest of his cubs, gently running a hand through the bottom tendrils of her hair. They were outside for only minutes before the door was opened by a house elf opened the door. Both of the de Marque's whisked inside, side by side.
As her father conversed with the house elf, Adrienne slipped out of her coat, hanging it up by the door and turning back to look ahead of them. The house elf whisked away, she assumed to tell his master he had visitors. Adrienne turned to look at her father, smiling up at him. "If this is another attempt to arrange a marriage for me, I'll never forgive you." She teased playfully, arching a brow up at him.
He laughed softly, rolling his eyes. "Oh please, Adrienne. He's married, with a son older than you." He replied in the same teasing tone, reaching a hand out to gently cradle her face. "Though I have no doubt in my mind the little panther inside of you will like him just the same."

And I hope to prove myself likable, if you don't mind me saying. A voice purred from the interior of the house. It's tones at home in the luxury of the manor and its owner not far behind.
Down a flight of steps, cruised the lord of the manor, flaxen tones looking like moon-washed gold in the provided like, shadowed ivory eyes taking on many tones as he moved, physique healthy, muscled and fit not hidden by the shirt he wore, black, linen, formal and not particularly thick either, but it was adequate home-ware, his trousers were also black, of formal wear as well, flowed with his step and made almost no sound as they sometimes brushed together with their wearers descending steps. As the Lord drew closer to the pair, a single silver ring was to observed on his right hand and around his neck tow chains, one almost hugging his neck sculpture and the other drawing one attention further down his broad chest, hidden under the black material but could be faintly seen. Honey kissed mane wound its way deliciously over his shoulders, spreading evenly over the broad appendages and his muscular back and some threatening to hang over his right eye, but it added to the style of his decent. A flat black leather belt with flattened silver studs was glimpsed as the shirt shifted as the Alpha of the house skipped the last two steps in a bound and landed gracefully before advancing on the two, lips curved into a friendly smirk.
Alexandre, he rich rolling tones with a hint a drawl glided through the lips as Lucius addressed his friend and guest, holding out a hand to shake the other man by. What an unexpected pleasure to see you and your young charge, please come through. His voice was friendly, something that not many got to hear and the glance that he threw at Adrienne was a friendly one, with almost a twinkle in his eye? For sure, this was not the Lucius Malfoy that people were used to fearing.
He motioned for them to come upstairs with him, to the study he had been lounging in only moments ago.

Adrienne and her father looked away from each other only when a rich voice cut through the still of the room. Adrienne looked up almost expectantly, dark eyes twinkling as she watched the man come down the stairs. Looking much like a regal, white lion, like her father, she watched him descend the stairs as a fluid line of platinum blond hair and ebony black clothes. She turned away from her father to face him instead, a smirk on her features.
The man standing on the stairs was surprisingly handsome. Older than herself by a great deal, probably closer to her father's age, but time hardly effecting his good looks. He was built much like her father as well, broad shouldered and narrow waisted, with long, trim legs. She immediately took a liking to him for it. She was a girl that worshiped her father, and anyone who reminded her of him.
She watched the man, she assumed to be Lucius Malfoy, come over to shake her father's hand. The big Frenchman lifted his hand and clasped Mr. Malfoy's for a moment. "Lucius." Her father replied in the same friendly tone. "I am sorry we arrived unannounced, but I fear this could not wait." When Lucius gestured for the two to follow him up the stairs, they did, Alexandre pressing a hand into his daughter's back to send her in front of him before following closely behind her.
Adrienne scaled the steps expertly even in her heels, staying a respectable distance behind Mr. Malfoy. She entered the parlor behind him, waiting for her father to come in as well and standing close to his side. Alexandre spoke after a moment, seeming to remember something he had forgotten. "Forgive my rudeness. Lucius, this is my daughter, Adrienne."
When she was introduced, she bowed her head politely to him, dark hair falling forward like a veil for a moment before correcting itself.

Once in the study, Lucius flicked a finger and doors closed slowly and then he motioned to the seat near or around the fire which was glowing softly, the weather outside wasn't the most pleasant, it was darkening and the mist and fog along with heavy clouds were not holding themselves back, they rolled forth bringing with them an uncomfortable humid chill which because of the way the manor was built and protected, did not enter the prestigious house but you couldn't help but shiver when you looked out at the impending weather.
Lucius grunted softly as a chill ran up his spine and he closed the curtains gently, blocking out the unfriendly light. He turned back to his current company just as he was introduced the the young female with his friend and was struck by her politeness and her grace. Hindsight was a beautiful thing, he clearly remembered looking back down the stairs and watching how she was so sure-footed whilst navigating them, even with those heels on. He dipped his head to her in reply, his own platinum tresses flowing with his movements, when he righted himself he tossed his head with an artistic flick, his hair moving back to where it originally was. It was an almost everyday movement for Lucius and it was done without hassle, without flamboyance, just done. A pleasure to meet you, Adrienne. he spoke in a friendly, courteous voice.
Lucius took his previous seat but this time only half recline, resting his back on the arm of the sofa and leaning in a relaxed fashion. He had a pleasant, relaxed smile on his face. He interlocked his hands and his gaze went to Alex.
Alex, you know you are always welcome here, but what troubles you so? Seems urgent. He mused to his friend, motioning for him to take a seat next to him. He didn't mind where Adri settled, she was as welcome as her father, if not that slight bit more.

Adrienne smile that same, almost courtly smile to Mr. Malfoy before moving to take a seat as her father took once next to him. Sitting directly across the room from Lucius, she leaned back on her seat and crossed her legs at the knee. The hem of her dress slid up slightly, revealing even more of the creamy skin of her legs, perfectly toned from years on horses and in ballet. She watched the two men converse with observant whiskey colored eyes.
Alexandre reached into his coat, producing a few papers and a quill. "I just need you to sign these. It's just giving my department permission to access some of your case files on the Daper case from a few months back." He explained, holding the paper steady for the other man to sign them. As soon as he did, Alexandre tucked them back into his jacket and stood slowly, up to his full, towering height. "Thank you, Lucius." He said with a smile before turning to Adrienne.
The little brunette observed quietly, the russet tones of the fire reflecting off of her creamy skin and the darkness of her hair. "Shall we go, cherie?" Her father asked, a warm smile on his face as he looked at his youngest. Adrienne looked up at him, with the same affection; it was very apparent how much she loved her father. "Actually, I would like to stay, if Mr. Malfoy does not mind my presence." She looked around him to the other wizard, lounging oh so temptingly in his seat.
Something about him intrigued her, something about the way he carried himself, how he would glide like a deer but at the same time seemed very capable of attacking with the same ferocity of a viper. She wanted to learn more about him, but it seemed that only some alone time with him would permit her that. So she waited on tenderhooks to see if he was too busy for her company, though she doubted that very much.

After the signing of the papers was done, Lucius joined Alex in standing up, he was slightly shorter than the other man, by about an inch, but when both of them stood, it was something you looked at and thought: "Wouldn't want to piss them off or meet them in a dark alley when angry..." And indeed it wasn't, although Lucius looked mellow now, there was always the aggression cruising under his skin. And indeed it wasn't petty aggression, this was full fledged "I-will-break-your-face-if-you-cross-me", dominant, confident aggression. Rarely used, but when done so, it was done properly. Lucius was no coward, those days were dead and gone.
He inclined his head towards Adrienne when she requested to stay and keep him company. He was surprised, what could he possible have to offer her? He raised one eyebrow quizzically, slate grey eyes shooting from Alex to Adri, then back to Alex again before he gathered himself and lowered the eyebrow and rolled his shoulders in a shrug.
I don't see why not, my dear. I'm not busy at the moment, you're presence would be most welcome, of course, if it's alright with your father... he replied smoothly, looking back at the young woman who's skin complexion and hair pigment were only highlighted by the soft hues of the glowing fire. He dragged his eyes back to Alex and spoke in an easy tone. You know she's safe here Alex and really, I have no objection to some extra company.

As soon as Lucius agreed, Alexandre turned his head back to his daughter, watching her stand. Even in her heels, Adrienne barely reached her father's shoulder, definitely looking more like a lion cub than a young woman. A hand reached out to stroke the creamy skin of her cheek, still very affectionate and protective. "Very well, petit oiseau." He replied, smiling. "Come home whenever you are ready." He leaned in to kiss her forehead before turning to Lucius. "I can see myself out." He nodded before whisking out, moving very quietly for a man of his bulk.
Adrienne lowered herself back down onto the couch the minute her father was gone. All pretense of the polite, sweet daughter was gone and replaced with the silent, cunning predator. She leaned back in her seat, crossing her legs once more and leaning her arms on either of the arms on the chair. Sitting as she was, her chest was slightly thrust out, her chin lifted so the line of her strong jaw and elegant neck was even more defined. And she watched him with pit viper eyes.
"Well, I must say, Mr. Malfoy," She began, her voice now thrown into a low, seductive purr with her accent still clinging to the corners. "You have most certainly intrigued this little French girl." She smirked, almost as if tempting him to do something about it. One perfectly shaped eyebrow arched up up almost into her hairline, straight white teeth coming forward to bite down gently on the full curve of her bottom lip.
"There's something about you that I find so...appealing." She licked her lips. "But I haven't quite figured out what yet. Is it the sense of self confidence or the arrogance that drips off of your every word? Or..." She paused, as if contemplating her words. "or perhaps it's the raw sex appeal, the way your hair hangs around your face or the way your eyes seem to be oh so subtly undressing me. Not that I mind it."

A look of priceless amusement waltzed its' way onto Lucius' face and it was meant to have vanished as soon as he turned round but stayed plastered there, as if clinging to him as he pivoted smoothly to face her. A rage of feelings coursing through him. Bewilderment, curiosity, pure shock and an undertone of arousal. His lips curved into an amused smirk and a dark chuckle trickled from his chest, husky and with an undercurrent of something unknown.
Twin pools of steel locked with the liquid amber of the young woman in front of him and prowled towards her, stopping near her head and gazing down at her with his arms crossed over his chest, the fire crackling in the background was the only sound for a while as he gazed at her, that smirk still in place and eyes still locked. His raised one eyebrow smoothly.
Please, call me Lucius. My title make me sound so much older than I am. he breezed in a low tenor, amusement clear in his voice. He exhaled quietly before allowing himself to speak again, after hearing all that Adrienne had to say. His tones were bass, but light and teasing at the same time. There was no doubt in his mind that he believed she was playing way out of her league, but there was something in the back of his mind, pushing him to find out what had triggered this and to push further to investigate.
It also seems that "this little French girl", has a habit of playing with fire. he mused to her, as he roved her face and body with his eyes, now not-so-subtly undressing her with his vision. He snorted softly before turning away and prowling to the sofa on which he reclined on previously, to resume his previous position, only with his legs stretched out to the side, taking up most of the huge furniture piece. His elbow propped him up and one hand was elegantly under his shin, the other resting on his side, hand lightly resting on the top of his thigh. He smirked again and now answered her questioned.
I, sadly, can't answer the reason I seem to intrigue you so much, Adrienne. But, if you're as enchanted as you say you are. Come over and find out. he dared her.
